II. the year of the Vyšehrad Four's helicopter takeoff at the Žilina Airport
On August 3, the second annual helicopter fly-off of the Vyšehrad Four countries took place at the Žilina Airport. After last year's successful event, when 23 helicopters and rotorcraft met for the first time on the area of the airport, the organizers of this event had again announced a large participation of machines with movable support surfaces. Expectations, which counted on the arrival of more than 30 helicopters, were finally thwarted by the weather. The low cloud cover, which hid the hilltops over the wider region and especially the north, prevented the arrival of several participants, especially from Poland. A total of 13 helicopters arrived. Even this complication did not deter some crews, and although later, they reached their destination by land.
